Lucy is a film about a 25 year old exchange student, played by Scarlet Johansson, living in Taipai when she is tricked into doing a drug deal. When the deal goes wrong, she accidentally absorbs the drugs resulting in her developing super powers. Based on the theory that humans only use 10% of their brains, the drugs slowly allow her to gain more functions of her brain resulting in stronger powers as the percentage rises. With an interesting theme and impressive performances from cast members including Morgan Freeman and Min-sik Choi, this film is certainly one to see.Unfortunately, the movie makers felt the need to include tobacco use in numerous scenes. Possibly in an attempt to make a scene appear more dramatic or to make gang members look more evil. Regardless of their reasoning to include tobacco use, I recommend you view this film with caution.Rating: 4/5
